Our story
The AERMEC laboratory is part of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (DIMEAS) of the Politecnico of Torino. It was founded in the late 1990s, initially informally and focused on the common research interests of a group of academics, in collaboration with local aero-engine industrial partners. It was subsequently officially established as one of the laboratories of excellence of the Politecnico of Torino with the name AERMEC (AERoMEChanics), a collaboration between the former Department of Mechanics and the Department of Aerospace Engineering, now merged.
